How Walt Disney can help you win

“Somehow I can’t believe that there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four Cs. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.”

— Walt Disney

Walt Disney was an expert on making dreams become reality. Entering competitions is making your dreams come true one competition at a time. The special secret he used were the four Cs. They were Curiosity, Confidence, Courage and Constance and here’s how to apply them to the comping life:

Curiosity

Having curiosity is the life blood of a comper. Always be on the hunt for the next competition, trip, win and everything in-between and you’ll never get bored with your hobby.

Confidence

We are all riddled with self-doubt and negative talk. What if we don’t win. What if we don’t deserve to win. What if we can’t come up with a clever 25 word or less answer. What if we’re not creative enough for creative comp. Have confidence in yourself and your abilities and yes you are worthy of winning!

Courage

We need courage because we are faced with criticism from family and friends. We need courage to continue when we don’t win anything for months. We need courage to feel worthy of the big wins and the small ones too. Have courage and as the Nike saying goes ‘Just do it!’.

Constancy

The formula is simple. Being constant, consistent and persistent is the key to getting anything you want. Enter as many competitions as you can, when you can and the odds are guaranteed to be tipped in your favour.

Use Walt Disney’s four Cs and watch yourself win in every way.
